3D Scanners are an entry point into the 3D world.
Because we own a NextEngine 3D Scanner, there will be more on this topic in the future (as soon as I get a little more memory in my desktop to run the thing.)
In general, NextEngine has a good scanner that combined with some free software such as Meshlab and Scanalyze can produce some quick rapid prototypes.
